About Us

Planning A Life Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit public benefit organization dedicated to helping families, self-advocates, and mission-aligned partners build inclusive, sustainable futures for people with disabilities. Through grants, education, advocacy and peer-led programs, the Foundation advances housing, transportation and meaningful day program access, life planning, community leadership, and long-term support strategies—especially for those left out of traditional systems.

The Foundation partners with—but remains independent from—Planning A Life, LLC, a mission-driven consulting firm. While the LLC offers direct services, staffing support, and private planning tools, the Foundation focuses on public-good initiatives: providing pro bono or low-cost education, family connecting, policy change work and remembrance efforts rooted in disability justice.  All collaborations with the LLC are formal, transparent, and IRS-compliant to protect the nonprofit's charitable mission. Together, they reflect two sides of a shared vision: a world where disabled people and their families can shape their lives with dignity, security, and community.
